What I collect when you use rob-curtis.com, why I collect it, how long I keep it and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible for your data

This website is operated by Rob Curtis. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Rob Curtis is the data controller for personal information submitted through this site. You can reach me at rob@thepursuitagency.com.

What I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me, plus a small amount of technical data that any website receives.

  • Contact form. Your name, email address and whatever you write in the message, plus the optional fields relevant to your enquiry type (business name, event details, topic and so on).
  • Newsletter sign-up. Your email address.
  • Technical data. Your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you visit. This is standard server and analytics information.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your data. I share it only with the providers needed to run this site and respond to you:

  • My web host, which stores the site and processes form submissions.
  • My email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and replies.
  • Colleagues at The Pursuit Agency, where your enquiry is best handled by somebody there.
  • An email marketing provider, if you subscribe to the newsletter.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations apply.

How long I keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally up to 24 months, in case you get back in touch. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email rob@thepursuitagency.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is aimed at business audiences and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date. This version was published on 15 August 2026.
